Happy Birthday Lindsay

I had thought a great deal on something. You are fond of changing the words that we use to describe certain things and after a great deal of philosophical searching I may have seen why.

Words form the thoughts we have, thoughts form the basis of the internal reality, the way we see the world and ourselves affects what we do and how we react. Our reactions determine our lives and ultimatly form our reality.. thus the words we choose to use, reflect the lives we live.

I had never thought so deeply or put such weight on the use of words and the way in which they were used. These words are responsible for our very thoughts and thus they are of great importance to how we will live our lives.

I am still thinking more on how words affect our consciousness and our reality, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Happy Birthday Lindsay
I had thought a great deal on something. You are fond of changing the words....

Max, you say that I am "Fond of changing words?" Please, give me example of how I do this.

Then you add: "...I may have seen why."

I ask: In what way?

Keep in mind that I like to say: "If we are really serious about understanding one another, we need to keep on dialoguing with one another, until we truly understand one another, for better or for worse."

After all, if people are poles apart, in one way or another, let us find out if this is so.
As Winston Churchill is reported to have said, "It is better to, Jaw, jaw, jaw than to war, war, war".
Good for you, when you write: "I had never thought so deeply or put such weight on the use of words and the way in which they were used. These words are responsible for our very thoughts and thus they are of great importance to how we will live our lives.

I am still thinking more on how words affect our consciousness and our reality, I would love to hear your thoughts on this."

My thoughts?

OK: I repeat: IMO, it is better to jaw, jaw, jaw than to waw, waw, waw. In others words: Let us dialogue, on any and all controversal issues, until we really know what each other really thinks.

ABOUT PROFILES--and Introduce Yourself
BTW, it helps when posters are not afraid to put more details in their profiles. Is there a reason why some omit to do this? Fear?
Profiles are not fixed in stone. They can alway be changed. When I change my mind, and become a positive atheist, I will let you know.

BTW 2, I do not think I could ever become a negative and cynical atheist. Let's dialogue about what this means, okay?
