Google has recently released a web-based RSS client called “Google Reader”. The tool has been announced at the Web 2.0 in San Francisco and is now also linked from the Google Labs.

“Google Reader makes it easy to find and subscribe to online feeds to help users organize and stay up-to-date on the ever-increasing amount of web information they consume on a daily basis.

The product features a clean, easy-to-use interface and includes a comprehensive feed finder, multi-media feed displays, and algorithms that can assist users with automatic content prioritization, plus easy sharing capabilities with email and “blog this” features.”

I've been using Google Reader all today and have reached the conclusion that it's slow. It has attractive features, like being able to add tags to things and being accessible online, but the slow speed is a big problem. Hopefully Google will fix this. Until then, I'll stick with Feed Demon.
