My dad usually works on the computer a lot, but he told me that he was getting pain in his wrist doing data entry in an excel spreadsheet. My step-mom told him to get a software called (nuance . com / naturallyspeaking/) Dragon Naturally Speaking so he wouldn’t have to type or mouse over anything much anymore.
I have two questions:
Is Dragon as reliable for anyone else as it is for my dad?
Do you guys know of any more programs similar to Dragon that has voice recognition?
Let me know your thoughts.

Hello funky_one,
There are several voice recognition programs and over the years such technology as has become available is improving.
Last time I tried it I was far from impressed.
When I started getting carpal tunnel problems due to mouse usage, I was advised to try a different type to the usual 'moving thumbwheel'.
I have used a roller ball type (trackball explorer) ever since and all my pain disappeared.
This a cheaper option and is most easy to implement.
