Apple-Crisp Moments

In this late autumn twilight
Cusp of winter pairing of
Late morning with early night
It feels right to be in love
And hugging you through layers
Holding gloved hands snug and tight
Confounding such naysayers
As dare not bear light aright
So theirs simply slips away

You can sing about spring
Say what you may of May
But this December day
I can tell you one thing:

These apple-crisp moments of fall
Are what we live for after all

Hey Hey
Lovely Larkin-like lyrics.
+Franziska+
Thank you for this warm warm poem, kind words are like honey to the soul... I celebrate you and our connection and am happy to have a creative and mental sibling... I love you very much.

Love you too, Franziska!

Hey Hey, I'm in good company with Larkin; thank you.

Today my three Collectible Hardcover Editions went global. Hooray! This includes Sea Stones, Dancing Naked in a Haunted House, and The Red Book of Lance (written last year and eerily if satisfyingly prophetic about subsequent geopolitical and social evolutionary trends); I find myself delighted and satisfied today.

Love to all, "And hugging you through layers,"

Thanks, Misty!

I have to write a poem every day in order to feel useful and happy.

People are being so kind to me about my work these days that I can hardly believe it. All I can say is thank you with all my heart. It means absolutely the world to me to be able to connect with others in this way; it is such a miracle of communication when the innermost thoughts of one stir those of another, the feelings of one stirring feelings in another. How beautiful it is, and how privileged we are as artists to partake of this joy of sharing.

Respect and solidarity,

+Stevie
