Underneath the onslaught of ice sleeps
a glacial paradise
filled with the warmth of naught save
wishes
and the whispers of fireflies
gone dark.
On cobblestone highways
of memory they drift,
waving and glancing and blowing kisses
that none can hope
but to return.
And I know they are there
because I have seen then nightly,
in the dark palisades where only the leaves
know words to whisper...
in dreams I still know you.
In hope that exists in the dimness of recollection,
I find your hand still reaching
and hope to touch it as well.

My tears still fall by midnight,
always to spell your name.
Hey Hey
Just lovely.

g`day misty, shall we all await our entrance to our glacial paradises, filled with the warmth of wishes and the whispers of fire-flies gone dark.

this verses touched me deeply, haunting and dark.. Wuthering Heights in inspiration, as Catherine smashes her hand through the beckoning window to try and grasp a phantom hand, simply magnificent….

thank you keep well greg.
