The implications of Quantum computing will be truly mindboggling. I only hope we can make enough sci-fi films in the meantime to prep the masses.

Or maybe we can just get rid of crappy TV (namely "reality" based) and force the masses to entertain themselvs through more intellectual means smile.gif

I didn't see anything new in the article. Calling this quantum computing is a stretch too. They are talking about reading the "spin" of a nucleus which is something else, I believe. All that talk about qubits being in two states at once seems to have nothing to do with reading the spin. It's in the very early stages, nothing to get excited about.

Ive been excited about Quantum Cryptology and Quantum Computers for a long time, it will be nice if they actually get one up and running within the next 5 years or so.

If we were to get rid of reality tv I reckon we should also get rid of soap operas. Imagine the rise in intelligence just by removing eastenders and coronation street from our screens!
