If any of these questions have been asked and answered previously, I apologize for their reiteration. I found the forum and site today, so of course I am unfamiliar with older threads. Anyway, here goes:

I am 21 years old, about six feet tall, and weigh around 160 pounds. I am searching for a nootropic regimen that could boost concentration and motivation. I have been using piracetam for about a month, usually taking around 4000mg per day. I am not sure if it has actually produced any cognition enhancing effects. Sometimes I *feel* as if I am thinking more critically and recalling information in a superior fashion, but it could just be my imagination. I also end up consuming around 400mg of caffeine on a 'productive' day (i.e., one that involves work, school, or both).

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who is more experienced could offer me some suggestions. My primary concern is boosting my motivation and improving my work ethic.

vinpocetine, huperzine-a, and exercise might help
synedoche
I am also a newbie and have been trying piracetam at about 2400-3600 mg per day (along with 1500 mg per day of choline supplements) for the past 6 days, and have noticed no effects. I've tried listening to music, writing, reading... how do I know whether it's working or whether there is no point in my taking these supplements? I am debating increasing to a higher attack dose for a few days.

Thanks

Piracetam enhances your overall brain functioning regardless of if you feel an effect or not. That is simply fact. However your cognitive goals would suggest galantamine for the aspects of cognition you are looking to effect the most.

Nootropics can take up to 1 month to realize the effect they have. Your brain ages and damage builds up over time. Piracetam is one of the few compounds that can protect and enhance your brain against this. That is a very important point people fail to realize and thus suffer brain aging.

What is your goal for taking Piracetam?
4.8-9.6 grams would be a more ideal dose to start out on taken 3-4 times throughtout the day. What form of choline are you taking?

LifeMirage,

I like you line of thinking. What form of Choline is best, and when you say the 4.8-9.6 gms taken several times a day, that is the daily dose divided into several doses throughout the day, correct? Because Piracetam is water soluble--right?
