Microsoft has announced the launch of Virtual Earth 3D. Get it from http://virtualearth.com or http://local.live.com. Requires Windows XP with SP2, and only works in internet explorer. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. It is better than Google Earth in certain respects (3D textures on buildings for example).
