A SMILE AGAIN

A smile again to crimson lips
Will soon return as sailing ships.
Wisdom gleaned from journeys taken
Are lessons learned from love mistaken.

A healing heart still beats within
Four chambers run the race to win.
Newly whole from self repair
Renovated from despair.

Shattered glass to bonded pieces
Naked bare to wooly fleeces
Jagged edges smoothed to silk
Comfort you as mother's milk.

Stronger now to face this life
Equipped somehow to handle strife.
Heightened sense to pain it deals.
Enhance the joy the next love feels.
