Does anyone know the main pharmalogical and neurotoxic effects of alcohol, and whether they you can counteract them with certain supplements in syngery with alcohol consumption in order to relieve at least some short-term and long-term negative effects.

For example, would taking ACH supplements with alcohol mean no blackouts or memory loss when drinking?

In one of Ian Flemming's books (Casino Royale, I think), James Bond got good results with amphetamine while gambling and drinking.

Alcohol enhances the inhibitory action of the neurotransmitter GABA. This gives you a calm, relaxed feeling. Alcohol inhibits the excitatory action of the neurotransmitter glutamate. This interferes with your memory functions and other bodily processes. Alcohol also influences several other neurotransmitter systems in the brain. The result is a pleasant, euphoric feeling. But too much alcohol can make you completely stop breathing. If you drink alcohol regularly, you need more and more of it to get the effects you want. Your body builds up a tolerance to alcohol. If you stop drinking, you may experience withdrawal symptoms. Drinking large amounts of alcohol regularly can lead to depression and dementia.

Several compounds are clinical shown to be of benefit for those with alcohol induced damage. While I do not advise consuming alcohol in large amounts, pyritinol and picamilon has shown to be helpful.

Just raising ACh would have a mild if just detectable effect.

Alcohol facilitates responses by GABA-A receptors, blocks glutamate receptors, increases dopamine activity, inhibits the flow of sodium across the membrane & decreases your serotonin activity. Your cerebellum is often affected first by alcohol. I suppose that's why police offers give you that sobriety test.

Also, you should just eat bread. But, I have heard positive things about the substances that LifeMirage has posted.

Drink plenty of water before you go to bed so the KREB cycle can function properly to avoid hangovers and such.
