Dark matter can't exist because it would all have been consumed in black holes by now. When a star explodes, the dark matter in it would not be ejected with the regular matter because it doesn't have any electromagnetic interaction. It would just form black holes because there is nothing to keep it from infinite collapse. Therefore, some other explanation for the linked observation must apply.
