You told me frankly
In clear terms

“Repeat certain prayers
Chant some manthras
Conform to fixed patterns
Suppress desires
Control your thoughts
Sublimate passions
Limit your appetite
and refrain from conjugal relationships”
You attain salvation
And reach the heavenly abode

I thought twice on this
Very seriously

Instead of torturing mind, body and soul
Let me trek the painful path itself
With limit in luxuries
And with self enforced discipline

After thinking over on these lines
And assessing the pros and cons
I realized

I am now a teacher and preacher
Guide, friend and the philosopher to my self

You made me to assess things
In their own perspective
Instead of applying any force on my freedom
