Full Version: the meaning

Hey Hey
the meaning

treading carefully
through the path of words
towards the meaning of absurd
the life and times
of meagre whole
reflecting all except a soul
attempting all
succumbing fall

a graceful route
with art and style
tempting them to stray a while
alighting in the dark
relax a spell to wear the crown
but steps go up as well as down
against the wall
another fall

such carefree end
one hand, then this
saying goodbye with a kiss
smiling still
whilst kisses leave the wound to bleed
and none are left for one who needs
should you appal
but not your fall

Why on earth didn't I reply to this poem when I read it days ago?

My perfectionism wraps me in silence, for fear of saying something stupid; I am a talkative person by nature, yet I like best and find it safest to say everything in poems polished carefully. I want to break out of this and reply more, especially since everyone is so nice here and it would certainly seem I have nothing to fear.

In any case, what I mean to say is just that I think this poem especially fine, and I want to apologize for not saying more and better... I do read everything. I wish I could just type whatever pops into my head quickly to everyone, but I suppose it takes a while for it to pop, and perhaps it doesn't really pop at all, but rather brood and wonder and ruminate over a few days.

Great poem, though. There, I said it succinctly (if simply; I am a simple soul)!

Love,
