This is probably the first actual attempt I have made at trying to write a poem as opposed to song lyrics. I hope my point comes across well.

Understanding

Paths through lives
That will awaken
Love forsaken
Rebuild broken ties
Empathy will rise
Forge the nexus
In between us
Destroying lies
Clear Skies -
ahead...

Here once before
all friends
descendents
As written in lore
But now nevermore?
Such is waste
made in haste
Dirty at the core
Never sure -
Words un-said...

With Greater Understanding
As People We Will Grow
In Your Under-estimations
You could never know...

It's in the seeking we will find it.
