Full Version: Heaven is hotter than Hell

Hey Hey
Heaven is hotter than Hell

It is perhaps worth pointing out that Heaven is actually hotter than Hell. The full source for this is a book called "A Random Walk in Physics", published by the UK Institute of Physics, but apparently the original is in Applied Optics, II, A14 (1972).

In summary, the argument uses Isaiah 30:26 "The light of the Moon shall be as the light of the Sun and the light of the Sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days." After various complex arguments (and using the Stefan-Boltzmann fourth-power law, which is familiar to you all, I'm sure) this gives the equation:

(H/E) ** 4 = 50, where H is the temperature of Heaven and E is the temperature of Earth.

This implies the temperature of Heaven is 525 deg. C. By contrast, the temperature of Hell must be less than 445 deg. C, the temperature of the lake of boiling sulphur (see Rev 21:8.) If it were any hotter, the sulphur would be a gas, not a lake.

Thus Heaven is hotter than Hell.

Thus Heaven is hotter than Hell.

I know of a chick around my neighborhood who's legs are hotter than Georgia asphalt! And that's probably hotter than hell.
Hey Hey
I need to know where this girl lives so I can discuss theological issues with her. I have some ice water ready and a nice air-bed for her to relax on.

Whilst that is an interesting and rather amusing theory, I'm pretty sure that Bible was just referring to the amazing luminoscity of heaven, and not a scorching heat wink.gif .

Depends on how you look at it? There can still be critical thinking, and yet, new ideas born? And our brain did not even burn up? smile.gif Phenix

"Quark Gluon plasma" presents opportunities like I siad. One just had to know how it was created and why the outgoing energy did not equal, the ingoing. Where is this missing energy?

Inverse Fourth Power Law

QUOTE
Quantitative studies of future experiments to be carried out by LHC show that any signatures of missing energy can be used to probe the nature of gravity at small distances. The predicted effects could be accessible to the Tevatron Collider at Fermilab, but the higher energy LHC has the better chance.

These colliders are still under construction, but results also have consequences for "table-top" experiments, being carried out here at Stanford, as well as the University of Washington and the University of Colorado. Here’s the basic idea: imagine there are two extra dimensions on a scale of a millimeter. Next, take two massive particles separated by a meter, at which distance they obviously behave according to the well-known rules of 3-D space. But if you bring them very close, say closer than one millimeter, they become sensitive to the amount of extra space around. At close encounter the particles can exchange gravitons via the two extra dimensions, which changes the force law at very short distances. Instead of the Newtonian inverse square law you’ll have an inverse fourth power law. This signature is being looked for in the ongoing experiments.

I saw her first. Will send you a pic of the trophy later, if you wish

Does she dance?

Ain't no pussy-cat I've ever met who won't dance. She's got the legs. How'd you get this one to dance, though? The only trick I know with cats is sticking scotch tape to their paws. This makes them wave good-bye! Kids, don't try this at home more than once, as animals feel discomfort and pain too.
