"Your love is killing me"
He said
"The pain will remain
Only a little while longer"
She replied
"How can I be sure?"
He screamed
"Oh, you can trust me."
She laughed
His eyes fell dark
As the knife plunged
Into his beating heart
"You lied to me!!!"
He said on dying breath
"Sorry bout that
I've moved on"
She smiled
He lay lifeless
On her kitchen floor
She bent down
To taste his bitter blood
One last time

Hey Snoopy, good to see you again.
Yowza, I guess that guy got what was coming to him, eh? I can relate (to her, not to him; to hell with him!); I've been hurt, as you know, and I hear a lot of sad stories from friends who have been too; one of them is my daughter.
I just avoid the whole problem these days, and hang out with my big fat cat; he's good-natured, is never unkind to me, and is good to snuggle with when it's chilly.
Great to see you posting again, Snoop. I hope, if you did get hurt by some guy, that you are healing, and that the cops never find his body.
Thanks for being part of us, and for sharing today. You always have a home here with us.
Respect and solidarity,
+Stevie

Thankfully, it was not me that was hurt. I am now addicted to myspace and there are so many talented people on there. Josh Clay is a beautiful artist and he did a painting entitled "Your love is killing me" It depicts a woman, standing behind a man, plunging a knife into his heart. I have been on a kick with his art all day now. I am fascinated by his creation and sent him copies of the poems. He was very pleased. Glad to be back. Had a bit of a dry writing spell. Who knows how long this bout will last? Also, glad to hear you won't let others get you down. You are too good for that. The pure hearted are usually the ones the suffer the most, what a crock.
Much love to you Stevie,
Nikki

Hey, Nikki, my son--also named Stevie (or Steve Curtis Lance, Jr. as it says in his Narwhal bio last time I checked)--is in a band called Narwhal, and they have a MySpace (I guess every band does!); they're really good.
I'll post some pictures of him in the band here. He's the tall and skinny one (the best-looking in my opinion, but, I'm the proud Papa).
Great to hear from you.
Love,

Thanks! I've got the photos up now. In that first one, he's the one in the middle. In the second one, he's really tired from touring (in Vermont, where they played the US Open of Snowboarding). You can pick him out in the rest of them, I'm sure. He plays keyboards. I love him so much; he's a great son and friend. And we share the same name even!

Agree, it's nice to see you back here Nikki.
Steven, in that second photograph he looks like a young James Taylor. Mexico ........

Thanks, Hey Hey! He would be honored to hear that.
Here is the link to the Narwhal site, if anybody wants to see it:
http://www.narwhalrock.com/bio.phpMy favorite part is how they talk about "Steve Curtis Lance, Jr." He sounds like the key to the band's success, and I know he didn't write the bio (he's very modest, actually).
