Full Version: your life in the sunflowers
BrainMeta.com Forum > Literature & Art > Poetry
Hey Hey
your life in the sunflowers

fading sunflowers, having given their worth
hang heads down so sadly upon residual dearth
a frieze of past life in the dust of this land
painted emotions untouched by love’s hand

azure of the background, still beauty, surprised
of embryo packages nocturne lyophilized
asleep with the moissanite glories suspended
spill loose of the secrets, tell life is not ended

smiling caresses to take all your futures, delight
with this prize comes the howling, the beast in the night
as lost from the safe gentle clutches they fall
but dust comes, a covering, again to hide all

the fiend gone, the sun now, warm rain on a womb
somehow no longer interpreted tomb
designed by the eons, perhaps a sojourn
look up to the painting, look up, they return

Profoundly insightful, with that autumnal quality of mortal observation which I cherish and I share with you so closely, I find your poem to be meaningful and touching; ultimately, it is positive, if not for one generation, then for the next.

Thanks and love, for this and everything,

hey, hey hey, this is an excellent vision, almost depressing: as lost from the safe gentle clutches they fall………..and yet full of hope we look up to find life is no so bad as the sunflowers return. I really got in to the mood of this verse, excellent. keep well take care greg.
