In a hospital room on a day

It is a day that one has been admitted
And operated upon for a complex disease needing surgery

The room appears to have waves of anesthesia
Encompassing the whole air and putting it to suffocation in silence

The surgeons and assistants are busy
Moving fast hither and thither not definitely in confusion
But with spreading anxiety in all the attending hearts
Minute by minute and hours in conclusion

The stretchers roll on with creek sounds to the theatres
And the nurses behave unaware of smiling seconds in precision
The patient drops down to deep poses of praying GOD with improved energy
And quite immersed in endless devotion fragmenting the environs in seclusion altogether

The anti insect liquid spreading on the floor quickly
as shield of protection unmindful of visiting surprises
the surgical instruments obey the orders long white coats
with a view to spread peace in minds of friends and relatives

The insured patients paints doubts in the records of the assuring companies
And claims get settled after some long inexplicable delays however un noticed
Three cheers to the corporate health hospitals
And long live all the tender smiles of the healthy nations

Supani, this is great; it is so visual and immediate in its description, and insightful in its observation, that I feel I have seen and experienced the hospital.

I enjoy this poem very much, and find it to be one of my most favorite among your so many so visual, immediate, insightful and experiential poems. I always enjoy reading you, and am grateful to you for the generosity with which you share your observations so insightfully expressed.

Thanks and love,

+Stevie
