madman.
white manila folder, simply labelled
plain and unadorned, pure and untainted
how wanton comes mischief, whimpering,
simpering, death is waiting, smiling.
one final effort to bound the chasm
now foremost in my state of mind.
oh, pressed forest, bleached and lifeless
you will have your way this day,
the struggle is beyond my strength
and the desire to live has vanished.
blessed is the freedom of my insanity
watching and gazing at nothingness.
you must and will reap what you sow,
take my word i`m a madman don’t you know.

This is great, Cousin; you had me right from the manila folder; that really resonated, and so it began. Speaking as a professional madman--federally certified and official--I give this poem my Madman Seal of Approval.
Respect, solidarity, and cousinly love,

you are truly a gem .. 'sniffing up lines like a cocaine curse' .. your poetry is absolutely stunning.
