Sweet Spring at Last

Now I have sprung forward and changed the clocks
Taken a leap of faith and changed the locks
That winter be locked out nor find the key

Come quickly spring and shine your light on me
Come keep me company and bring with you
Your youthful dreams and make them all come true

Against the stealthy stillness of the dark
Bring buzz and bloom and leap and singing lark
Ascending where descending once held sway

Let loose your love on me lengthen this day
Which holds such promise bears such hope to be
A better brighter bolder destiny

Break bitterness now as I break my fast
And I will feast on you sweet spring at last
