Could Be Worse

So it turns out the attorney is a crook?
What else is new?
I nevertheless have a rather impressive book
And I have you
So I can say now I have all I need today

The crookery is so intense
Those in the know keep me in deep suspense
Reluctant to say just how bad just now
Forgetting to be upsetting to me
Conveniently and for the best

I just hope they put things right then put him away
To make an example of him for the rest

But bookery is so sublime
For me such a grateful and graceful time
No matter what nor the manner how
He further enriched himself at my expense
I have my dreams and nothing else matters now

He can neither take this book from me nor rhyme
His way out of his ways so he will do his
Time in the text of the next book a textbook cad
Another inspiration in reverse
A sharp eye blinded dodging for the dime

One should never be surprised yet always is
When the attorney is a crook
What else is new?
I still have a very nice book
I still have you

Not too bad
Could be worse

I wish I had my book of poems, I made 5 copies and give them away.
On the cover was a spring day (kesäkuu = June) in Finland with a log cabin and woods in the background
With a blond girl wearing blue denim and picking flowers in the front yard next to the pond.
Around her was a blue heart shaped rays.

I'm just trying to say that I know how it feels to lose something important and have people take advantage of you.

There is a rumour in my family that back in the 1920's before the FBI, that my grandfather own 20,000 acres of land in Sweetwater, Texas, but somehow a lawyer stole the land and everything he owned (oil), so my grandfather got a gun and shot him down for good! Then he left Texas and hid in Mississippi where he met my grandmother and the rest is history.
All families have rumours. wink.gif

Thank you, kind and wise friend Neurosail. Your book of poems sounds wonderful, and your grandfather sounds a lot like my grandfather!

Respect and solidarity,

+Stevie
