Open and transparent systems....and subject to accountability?

Canada, now has a conservative government, a minority leadership. So, is it only a matter of time before we can expect to see conservative ideologies ripple out and filter down amongst many paralleling cultural, educational and infistructural institutions?

One needs to reflect on just what are the conservative values:

1. Go back to old fashioned way of doing things, like slavery.

2. Go back to old fashioned morality like keeping women hidden and powerless.

3. Go back to old fashioned politics like denying the right of women to vote.

4. Go back to old fashioned beliefs such as biblical accounts of creation and that god has decreed some races to be inferior to the master race.

5. Go back to old fashioned economic practices such as using the army to shoot union demonstrators.

Now that you know, there is no excuse for Canadians to follow the American example. Don't be idiots like them.

hmm I think it will take more than a governemental election to change this course, you have to also consider why the conservatives are in power.. Is it because of their ideologies people voted or because they were the best choice out of the worst? People may not of believed in their views when they voted they may of only believed that the Liberals were not the ones to vote for.
