Sweet nothings
from a person
who bestows
scant respect
for me
are truly and literally
nothing to me.

They are like
ways
expressed by
wayward cattle
non sensible
and non pitiable

You make a good point here. And isn't it beautifully and ultimately revealing of universal truth that those blandishments are called sweet nothings?

I know just what you mean. The hollow words of those to whom we mean nothing mean nothing. That's why I value your words, and those of others who truly and deeply read my poetry. Thank you for this, and for everything.

Now that my latest book is finally finished, I hope to read more of the work of my fellow poets here. I'm glad I read your new poems today.

Respect and solidarity,

+Stevie
