Nostalgia
***********

I was behaving naughty
During my childhood
Knowingly or unknowingly
But attracted your attention all the while.
Though with a different glance of you

I was drenching myself
fully in the incessant rains
and becoming wet while returning home
some how attracting your awed attention

You changed my clothes, dried up my hair
and put me nicely before the fire place to draw needed warmth
keeping my self closely to your kind heart
deeply embracing and densely showering affection

I played all sundry games and soiled my clothes
Some times beyond the scope of washing machine
Yet you never caned me except shouting high for such deeds
And protected me all the while from other family members’ wrath

I preferred to sit before the sea shore
And enjoyed the ups and downs of the turbulent waves
Only to take them to heart at a later stage to cite as life’s solid experiences
My beloved mother ! I missed all your attention from the age of eight

When you were taken away from us to look after the other world
Of little children who needed your attention and affection
I cursed the GOD , the almighty for taking you away from our vicinity
but it is to look after the larger interest of the other children at heavens space.

This is so tender and sweet, my friend Supani; I read it earlier and didn't have time to reply, but it has been haunting me for hours. I had to come and tell you what this means to me, and how it reminds me of my own mother.

Thank you for this. Your humanity shines with the light of divinity in words like these.

Love,

+Stevie
