her smile was held up
at the corners by invisible wire

no one noticed the leaves dying
(to) fall.
each dull ringing you
grow fainter
sinks lower as they lay.

at pale dawn, silhouettes with old meaning flicker
afraid
that you are going to live..... .

she held her soul in a dirty jar
and dropped it
while putting the smile on.

so she s.crawled between
the pages of her favorite words
until nobody read the senseless lines.

she smiled

i missed it

dear misty, like the soft gentle flicker of life, brief and held up by invisible wires ~ I love this verse, particularly, she held her soul in a dirty jar
and dropped it
while putting the smile on.

excellent take care greg.
