The Seraphim of the Dream
An Angel stand by my side this night
Make the day wait at bay and hold back the light
For my hand is empty and light will show all
I lie in the dark, that no one sees me fall
Twirling on through the exquisite shade
As soft as velvet, air sharp as a blade
Come forward my Angel, we shall seek out that wraith
For he held the key once, and released all the faith
If the black is my blanket and I drown in the sky
Who watches as I smile at the stars that go by?
Roll me in kisses of purple and blue
Make me forget all those things that I knew
I once asked a question, an answer they gave
Now I crave unawareness, ignorance is brave
Let me hide in the darkness, my Angel shall sing
He’ll tell me I'm like him; a white seraphim
I hear voices echo like smiles and sunbeams
But the darkness is here now, and drowns me in dreams
