i have removed this post out of respect for a new member who found it offensive. no disrespect was intended, quite the contrary, my intention was to pay respects to the victims of violence. i was trying and wanted to try and portray the gross inaccuracies and sensationalized behaviour of the press and media in general when reporting such incidents, it was never my intention to offend. i apologies for any anguish it may have caused.

What a great poem, dear Cousin Greg, and how great it is to have you here among us!
Your poetry is deliciously disturbing; it suffers no sedate, sedated complacency nor shallow, frosting-lick perusal; to read your poetry is to be engaged, ready or not, and the images do not fade. You speak words of power, with authority, and they not only mean what they say and say what they mean, but more: the images give rise to afterimages, and the poem proves its independent existence as artistic entity, not to be dismissed, not to be forgotten. You mean to be heard and remembered, and you are.
I'm glad you're my cousin.
Thank you so much for coming and being here among us, dear Cousin Greg; truly, you make us better.
Cheers and g'day, and love always,
+Stevie
