in its insolence
******************
when i was just a child
and was plucking flowers
to adorn the chosen deities
my mother always cautioned me
in a loud and pertinent voice
“don’t pluck all
keep atleast one to the mother plant”
i was not actually understanding
the important intricacy in the advice
now i ‘ve sufficiently grown
in maturity and status too
and also observing keenly
the incidents that eventually
hurt the hearts of parents
who for some reason or other
lost their lone children
in unusual and untimely deaths
every mind and soul sympathise
the situation with the whole heart
the roaring cries
come and reach my ears as splashing skies
and dare to resonate in my heart altogether
i pray the almighty to kindly shower the mercy
on this unfortunate lot
and plead to deliver a meaningful message
to their residual part of life
