Full Version: winds of strange
BrainMeta.com Forum > Literature & Art > Poetry
Hey Hey
winds of strange

blowing this way
the winds of strange
before the end of day
content to derange
flying this path
the rays of bizarre
bringing your wrath
a transparent scar
touching this brane*
the hand of the stars
for all to contain
with transparent bars
falling this space
the beings of forever
a whole human race
faster but never

*Any of the extended objects that arise in string theory. A one-brane is a string, a two-brane is a membrane, a three-brane has three extended dimensions, etc. More generally, a p-brane has p spatial dimensions.

This is so cool. I love how you keep things fresh; everyone has heard the phrase "the winds of CHANGE" so many times--would that we could ever feel them blow, that they would ever blow the Bush junta away--but I prefer your "winds of strange."

And, I learned something fascinating from your footnote! I love things like this.

Thanks so much for this, my dear friend. You make me want to write something good tonight, as you certainly have done.

Respect and solidarity! I love your work, and I know many others do as well.

Cheers and love,

+Stevie
