Full Version: Lust and War::a gin-snippet

gingerleverette

This lust
dissolves any major
(or minor)
thoughts of attack--
... cruelty or unkindness.

I am now estranged
from weapons of defense:
willingly submitted,
openly reduced.

The only warfare I know
is the violent need
to touch you with ecstacy
much like a hand-grenade.

I wait ...
wondering when
you'll slip your trip-finger in
and disengage my trigger.

Hi Ginny, and welcome among us; you joined on my birthday, and thereby gave us all a present. Thanks so much for coming to us, and thanks so much for this wonderful poem.

You're off to a great start here!

I took the liberty of implementing your font and color choices for your post; I hope you don't mind. The trick with those things is to click on Close All Tags at the end; that implements your selections. Not that I know anything about computers, really, it's just something I've learned over the years here.

In any case, great poem, and thanks for coming to us and sharing it with us.

Respect and solidarity, new friend and fellow poet! I look forward to many more gin-snippets to come.

Love,

+Stevie
