FALL AWAY

How easily we slip,
One day happy,
The next day so sad.

We think; there are worse things.
But still we are selfish.

We suffer alone.

We pull back into our shells,
And wait for the storm to pass.
We are like camels, our heads buried in the sand.
Knowing; that no one will ever understand.

And we pray each day that this shadow upon us,
Will simply fall away and that things will be okay.

These words really ring true in my heart, Mandy. I know all too well of "this shadow upon us." I do pray that it

"Will simply fall away and that things will be okay."

I enjoy your poetry; it is insightful, and it resonates with the ring of shared experience and feeling.

Thanks and love,

+Stevie
