For example:
Admitedly, most of this new "science" consists of speculative metaphysical issues such as reincarnation, post mortem existence, pre-destination, other worlds, et al.

OK, we have some evidence of other worlds. For the rest of it ...yawn... we must be brave and face the fact that when we're dead we're dead, life is a consumable/disposable for the sake of evolution and any pre-destination is due to the part influence of one's genes within a socioscape.
The last verse of Steven's excellent poem is enlightening:

That's funny, a search turned up no matches on that page for the terms "reincarnation," "post mortem existence," "pre-destination," and "other worlds." Perhaps we are not talking about the same page.

Sorry Rick, I just had another tab open and it was on a different page of the same site:
http://www.kheper.net/essays/Multi-Dimensional_Science.htmlBut still, supports my opinion.
Incidentally, the dung beetle (Scarabaeidae family) at the top of the page (at that URL) ought to be at the bottom of the page (holding up the contents).

I agree with your evaluation as crapola of that particular page.

Rick, the smile on your avatar always lifts my spirit (non religious, of course). But your words, however, put it into orbit. Your scientific integrity and warm humour are always a real treat. I wish you well.

Thanks, Hey Hey, best wishes to you too. Dividing illusion from reality is the worthy task of all humanity. The historical role of science is the casting off of the hoodwink of superstition. Sometimes, as now in the USA, we go for a time in retrograde, but the overall trend is forward.

Maybe it's more stimulating to fight with each other! I guess a world where we agreed and got along would be a lot more boring, wouldn't it? However, I assert that a world without war is a world with extra resources to spend on space exploration and other scientific and artistic endeavours. I mean, a billion a week in Iraq! Come on. We have canceled and slipped several NASA programs this year already due to funding shortages caused by pouring that money down the Iraq (and Haliburton) rat hole.
