Second in a series of questions for Americans.

I didn't vote for Blair, so I guess I didn't vote for Bush.
I will not spoil your poll Rick.

Those who did blare 'Bush' have a lot to answer for, but hey, that's what democracy is all about.
I'm not strong on politics at all really, but I do think if we could separate policies from Parties it would be better all round.

I mean to split up the voting process I suppose.

First vote is for policies offered by anyone - a long list hopefully.
Second vote is for a Party to implement those policies which the majority support.

The weakness of that system (that needs removing) is that Parties cannot presently be expected to fulfill imposed policies.
Parties need to be made more like the Armed Forces - they do what they're told!
