Full Version: Raging 3 a.m. Quiet

3 am quiet rages through my mind,
denying dreams that should be there.
Beside me, she lies content in slumber.
I press bare leg against her silK pajama pant,
wrap arm around to cuddle breast
And roll into her snuggle.
Here lies peace - here, the comfort
I'm denied by raging 3 am quiet.

~

another nite, another take
still roils me deep in cursed wake.
clock face doth shine, 2:57
hellish glow denies me heaven.

sleep, shalt thou again evade?
whither runs sweet dream's parade?
what profit over hill does shine -
that better serves your needs than mine?

And why this English, old - long stale?
E'en King's themselves have fallen pale.
Pray thee free this heart of mine
from thee's and thou's, to fall supine
in slumber sweet, recumbent lain
'fore sun's first light refracts my pane.

Yikes! Egads! Demonstrative!
Describes nightmare wherein I live.
This waking dream depletes my rest,
Where snores I can't get off my chest.

And, now - near 6, to rhyme i wake
from 2 hour nap i dreamt i'd take.
the rage, the storm, doth billow on
with sails unfurled, starcrossed i'm blown.

thankyou Supani! I enjoy your work as well! It is my prayer that your family and friends might all be safe, in the tragic events which have shaken parts of your homeland.

Let noone chooseth thy love for thee
If thou shall permit it, then thou shall pay a fee
Entangled in a marriage that lacks enerrgy
Love shall becometh your hearts allergy
Fore that reason, I and the angels of heaven agree
Let noone chooseth thy love for thee

great write unknown... keeps in wonder...

Thanks Misty!

Here's hoping all of your inspirations are fulfilled. That every word trips off your tongue/pen/keyboard with an ease and a joy which Shakespeare himself would envy!
