Clickety-Clack Down a Railroad Track
Clickety-clack down a railroad track
Rambling again a long way from home
But going away or coming back
It just seems some of us need to roam
Do we run away or go somewhere
And how do we know when we get there?
It is not the getting there we go
For but the rambling which makes it right
Where we are going we never know
But to be free and to own the night
Just feels good like being understood
Where the only ties are made of wood
Living feels more real on rails of steel
Rambling again a long way from home
But going away or coming back
It just seems some of us need to roam
We will never know till we get there
