Ties That Bind

Without wasting one tear
These ties that bind me to you are being cut.
I won’t let you keep my spirits down.
This executioner’s hood is no longer yours,
You’ve lost control of the ax
And it’s severing our final tie.
+Steven Curtis Lance
I love this!

A good strong poem, one which I wish I had written to someone once.

Thank you for this, dear Mandy.

Respect and solidarity, my friend and fellow poet!

Love,
