misty

whispers tripping
on ice ladden clouds
and they fall
as snowflakes
twisted
to die
in the sun
they were so alive
in the night
as gentle
as dandelion seed
floating
through candle light
glowing
with promises
so sweet
and they fell
from your lips
so lovely
and i followed
with stars
in my eyes
until dawn
broke the sky
it was
then
you left
with the morning
shattering
my voice
forever

Wow, Misty...
What a great poem, seriously. Your voice and vision here (as always, actually) are so closely-reasoned, constant and consistent, and the structure holds together in an arc from first to last, the means of the lines justifying the ends of the title. It always happens like that somehow for me when I read you: I read the poem first and then understand how right the title truly is.
You imagery is so beautiful, here as always.
I know the ways in which you and I write are different, but I think we really have complementarity; I love your poetry, and always look forward to reading it, and you have been so kind to me about mine. I feel understood by you, and that I also understand.
You honestly have talent. Sometimes I wonder about some unbelievably lucky guy out there for whom you write these beautiful poems... I just hope he appreciates what magic this is.
Magic, like moonlight, can hide away behind a cloud; like sand it can run through our fingers... and we never know it is magic until it has left us; then all we can do is weep, lost. I have felt this. It is like being abandoned by the moon, orphaned by the universe.
I send you my love,
+Stevie

You are most welcome, dear Misty.
I just wrote you a little poem, Moon Walk; I hope you enjoy it. You inspired it by the power of your words.
Thank you for being here.
