I am sure that the future discoveries will be “scary”. Certainly they will benefit mankind if used by proper people. The matter is that the future discoveries may unfold some abilities of man as a creature which truly are scary. Besides they may change the concept of matter as itself and merge the entire metaphysics with the physics. The founding fathers of the Royal Society did everything to lead mankind via more safer ways, but it looks like that we are approaching to the moment of truth. You know, there is an idea that there are things people better not to know as half knowledge are much more dangerous than absence of knowledge. This is that very case. We need to modify the social structure of the society to make that inevitable step forward much more secure. Mankind must not repeat the mistakes of the Oppenheimer group. The society of scientists and philosophers must be responsible for its future discoveries. Governments must subdue to the Wisdom and must obey to higher moral values.

The advanced theories (esp) of the Quantum electrodynamics are returning to the simple Hooke’s Oscillators concepts. The Universe can be viewed as a system of oscillators.

Yes, for the core of the atom has yet to be fundamentally discovered and there are many theories out there muddling up our present intellectual ponderings and abilities....God has yet to shine his light on the situation for he must believe that we as a race are as of yet not ready for this information.

One day God will ignite this light, as he has done in the past, and allow some human creature to tap into above discussed wavelenght/frequency and harness this energy for the benefit of mankind, as happened with atomic energy (minus the horors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, of course).

I wish it were that simple, but I am not and don't want to be merely a machine of an overiding system, for I am imbued with free will and have at my disposal a infinite? choice of actions, as opposed to a predetermined motion of events set forth with the initial spark of beginning and the big bang.
