Full Version: Sugared Words

It's funny how words
have double
meanings
feelings
consequences

like, 'trigger finger'

I have no want
nor need for guns,
yet that fourth digit
on my red write(ing) hand
still locks
and catches

Trigger.
Trigger.
Trig...

There it goes.

Sugared tendons
cause
frozen shoulders

I sound like a dessert.
But my sugars aren't so sweet
anymore

Funny how people say
"You're sweet"
"How sweet"
"That's sweet"

It's a compliment.

It's my disease.

Sapping energy
stripping me of
birthrights
latenights
lovebites...

Dead flesh
looks like bruising
so sick of questions
and truth.

I lie.

"I walked into the desk"
silly me!
What a clutz I am
but you know my eyesight's bad...

Such a shame those
exploding vessels in your eyes
couldn't be all
burnt away

What do you mean,
you're going low?
I'm so high I'm never coming
Oh-god-you're-not-going-to-fit-are-you?

*whew*

"You had me scared"
I too am relieved
for a moment
I'd forgotten this was all about you.

Wow, Misty; what a trip!

You are incredible. The way you use words, the structures which you build of them and how you do it fascinates, amazes.

You truly have an altogether unique style, and it is most attractive and captivating; it is like going down the rabbit hole, or taking some sort of magic potion. Fantastic.

Love,

+Stevie
