Tears leave
a trail
down her
face exposing
un-powdered flesh.
~+~
She speaks
lightly as
the night
toils on,
telling me
of her
sorrow.
~+~
Tales of
shattered dream
mountains and
rivers of
unrequited love.
~+~
Constantly searching
for her
tomorrow, but
she can't
even find
today.

Perfect.
I especially like the images, such as that of the tear-trails exposing un-powdered flesh, the night toiling on (that is simply brilliant), shattered dream mountains and rivers of unrequited love, and, best of all and saved for last as it should be, your concluding image:
Constantly searching
for her
tomorrow, but
she can't
even find
today.
Misty, you are a fantastic poet. It is a true joy to read you. Thank you so much for participating in our forum here, and please stay with us always. I would write more, but I am so tired now and can do no more tonight.
I hope you like my new poem, Shrinking Violet, which I just wrote and posted. That one took a lot out of me. I wish I could do more, but please just know that I believe in you with all my heart.
Thanks and love,
+Stevie
