Just Me
I like poetry
To be orderly
I do not expect
To be understood
And as I get good
At it more reject
What I try to say
Anyway I see
As they turn away
And they turn on me
Witticism yes
Verbal winks and such
Criticism no
Thank you very much
Yes I will confess
I am sensitive
To insults some give
In the name of God
Or country or tribe
It always sounds odd
To shout sacred things
In a diatribe
(As the cuckoo sings)
