We Will Meet You in the Moonlight
Not very many maybe one or two
Are those who enjoy these poems I write
A couple of kind friends a select few
Who share with me this long and lonely night
They bare their hearts with me and I hope you
Will join us tonight by the full moon's light
Within which we and poetry agree
To dare in the moon's unblinking eyesight
By word and thought and spirit to dance free
Come out and play awhile and you will see
Why some of us are so devoted to
Wearing our heart on our sleeve and believe
That we might change the world for good someday
We have a lot to do and we need you
Though we might end up failing anyway
Still we believe the journey is the goal
Questing for meaning meeting heart and soul
We will meet you in the moonlight: tonight

Thank you, my dear friend.
You will be pleased to know that I have been listening to Nick Drake non-stop these past few days: you were right.
Love,

Effective and oh so beautiful work...
Starlight, moonlight, candle flame burning bright
Dry away the tears clinging to my cheecks tonigh
Hide them from the outer world so it doesnt know i'm weak
Keep their very existance a secret hidden deep
I dont want those I hold dear to see me in this state
Dont allow them to see me frail thanks to this crule twist of fate
Though I tremble and though I shake
The blade is steady as ever on the path that it takes
Feebly i wonder what would happen if it should slip
Would the pain late forever or be only moments long?
Though missed I would be how long would it last
Few here at home would likely notice if I passed
Yet the blade stays steady
And I return to reality
On the surface there's not even a scratch
But in truth the blood and tears stain deep
Starlight, moonlight, candle flame please burn bright
misty..
