Hey Hey
ode to troubadour

soothing songs that warm my heart
i wonder, why would you depart
at prime of passion and so calm
i try to understand your harm

imagination, coloured moon
those words to feel, and world festoon
as bryter fades towards your skies
each listener wonders as he cries

the seasons turn but not your soul
what’re we try cannot be whole
but know, we see you through each word
forever, celestial poetry heard

Hey Hey
and your words are very gratefully received, dearest Unknown
Hey Hey
for the uninitiated, the troubadour in question is Nick Drake. coloured moon refers to the album Pink Moon, bryghter refers to the album Bryter Layter and skies refers to the song Northern Sky. Nick died at age 26 in 1974.
