Transcendental Sonnet #1402:
Failure
Once I was believed to be anointed
To do important things before I die
Then I was fifty and disappointed
A failure who could only speculate
Somehow I knew I would never know why
This is that special cruelty of fate
Causing us to wonder as we blunder
Searching for some answer as the cancer
Eats away today and then tomorrow
Is our last and still there is no answer
Which is because there simply never was
So what is left of me? This poetry
Thousands of poems which I leave to you
Debris of a dream which never came true

Failure never to be. You shine here and everywhere. I envy such talent. I love the fact that we can all share what we know and what we have learned through lifes great lessons. Some are painful and some fruitful. You have done what I have most dreamed of, making books. I think it is grand that you have been doing this for so long and still enjoy it. You will always have a voice and what you say can affect people. There is always a poem or two that resonates within someone elses soul, speaks to them without even trying. Much love to you Stevie, the dream has certainly come true.

Glad to keep you upbeat Stevie. Anything to make a friend happy does my heart good as well. Remember us on the down days. You are loved and respected.

don't give up, and don't worry... divine love requires a lot of spiritual, mental and emotional strength... hang in there.... learning it is worth it and quite a privilege, if mean, if you're still dangling.. how can you help others that dangle?
you are not a failure my friend
my heart is with you,
kisses,
Franziska

steven, you must ask for your daily bread and water through sonnets. it is as though you have created a new language. i never was good at languages, but i would learn this one.
