Celestial Songbird
Funky flowers upon my cup
Of life and loves and smiles, and up
Songs that play and touch my heart
To tears that roll, for a while, apart
Still not seeing how and why
Should wonders fall on you and I
Where did these thoughts arise
And how long will they wander skies
In the ether of our minds and souls
Or sink to universe of black, through holes
That song, again appears, saves the day
Brings knowledge, inspiration, and the way
Meandering through the leafy lanes
Almost of dreams but flows through veins
To wake or fall in comfort sleep
And tell the story or to keep
We sing the words that spread delight
Moulding spirits, end the plight
Songs, now hymns, they grace our lives
Romance in music, love survives
An arc in skies so black with awe
The preternatural sights we saw
And holding on to grace with verve
The power, the future, One to serve
