JUNE BUG
I hear you,
Tap tapping at my window,
So quietly you beg for my attention,
As you buzz with life
On this cool summer’s night.
As you fit to woo me out of my room,
And play in dewy fields, dodging fireflies.
You dare me to dream again,
To stay with you until morning fills the sky,
And then we will sleep you and I,
Until tomorrow night you come tapping again.

What's up Mandy? Sounds like you're bugging out?

LOL, I'ma dork. I was inspired by a bug. But to me a June Bug is so much more then just a bug, I feel like I have a connection to them. And to me they mean summer. Weird huh? Have you had a chance to read any of the new no-bug poems I've written?
Check out, "Spark", "So Close", or "Lover's Hell". Later!

That's funny, my black labrador loves to chase and eat June bugs. He gets fat in the summer time because he uses them to supplement his diet. I'm not sure how they taste, but she seems to love them. Maybe she could go on Fear Factor? I will check on your other poems. Always a treat to read what you come up with.
