When they'll throw down their weapons

We have found a certain peace
Which we can spread with love and joy
And so many other things
Sometimes we believe you'll never learn

So there's a rule, there's a law
Maybe it's not what you want
Yet your desires shall not cost tears
Your anger shall not wound others

Neither your cries nor your silence will break the earth
There's only one seething sound that surpasses all
We don't really know what's so hard about it
In that sense you're old enough. grow up.

Your children will not suffer through your despair
You must learn to remember who you were, who you are
Under golden wings they'll fly
High spirits will lift their hearts

We don't do it for us
We do it for the day
When lifes are saved
When they'll throw down their weapons.
