HE DUSK

The birds are keeping mute in their nests
The weary SUN after hectic day long activity
setting saying 'Good Night' in the corners of west
Gold in liquid form flowing to the high skies like fall colours

The cattle and sheep have been returning home
after a long stint of grazing and a wide stretch of A roam


The school children completed their out door games
and kept ready for grand parents telling of stories of fame

The jasmines kept in the groomed hair of lasses started weaving fragrance
and the moon is smiling after hearing the artless art of repartees in the form of jokes
swirling round the newly wed and made for each other folks
the dusk is coming to the platform bidding good bye to dawn in sequence
