Ming-Na
My china doll
Skin of pure alabaster
To her, I am master
Lips of deepest coral
Her perfume, poignant and floral
Eyes you cannot resist
Only woman ever I have kissed
Body is Heaven sent
Taught me what love meant
Heart seems so fragile
She makes happiness so simple
Ming-Na
My china doll
I care for her so
Could never let go
This journey is eternity
This journey belongs to you and me
Your grace moves me
Your laughter consumes me
Even death cannot part us
In that, I believe and trust
We will live on in fairytale
Our pairing shall never fail
Ming-Na
My china doll

It is so kind of you to say so. I am have been in such a weird mood lately. Up, down, and all around.

Nikki! I agree with Mandy, it is a great poem. What I like best, and what I meant to tell you yesterday but didn't get around to doing it--for which I apologize--is the unifying device you use, these lines:
Ming-Na
My china doll
Those lines, at the beginning, middle, and end of the poem, really hold it together; they create a haunting refrain-effect. Also there is a general quality of the fantastic which draws one in, as though we are being made privy to your interior life.
I see real growth in your poetry, and I feel privileged to witness and bear witness.
Love,
+Stevie
