Transcendental Sonnet #1346:
Karmic Omen

Your lies I learned your voice I knew your face I never saw
Yet in your perfidy you proved to me a karmic law
Materialist you threw my soul away out with the trash
In favor of the one who purchased you and pays with cash

But souls belong to God and unlike you I never sold
The one God gave me and it is still mine to have and hold
When you rejected me God by his grace elected me
As called to higher love I soared to see what I might be
Now you are owned and operated while my soul flies free

You never were as clever as you thought you were you know
I pity you your patron too down in the dark below
The wheel of karma slowly turns but you will feel it soon
There in your spring sky you will see a ring around the moon
You bound within I free without: the omen leaves no doubt
